The Kiwifruit Agrelipidio benefit from exceptional conditions: the mild-humid climate assures a regular and harmonious growth of the fruits. The productive soil of alluvial and volcanic origin is proved to be especially prolific to the cultivation of the Actinidia; it allows the plants to fully express themselves. The fruits of these plantations are well-known for their sweet-acid intense taste and their long period of conservation and integrity. These favourable conditions allow us to begin the collection at the beginning of november, assuring a sugar content of 6,5-7 degrees Brix which garantees a sugar content of 12-13 degrees Brix at the consumption. For this high qualitative standard, the European Community has granted the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) recognition.
